Brooke and Piper's Central Park and Neighborhoods

Brooke and Piper live near each other in the Upper West Side Neighborhood of Manhattan, one of the five boroughs (counties) of New York City. Brooke goes to nearby Public School 444 while Brooke travels across town to the Upper East Side, where she had formelry lived, to attend The Laurels, a posh private girl's school. Both girls are from families that have lived in New York City for many years. Their part of Manhattan is known for its museums, shopping, galleries, performance venues, restaurants and of course parks; Central Park and Riverside Park play important roles in the novel  Brooke and Piper.
